Expert review

This animated short tells a small snowy forest adventure with a warm and reassuring tone, even though it includes a few suspenseful moments. The main sensitive element is the bearded giant, who is introduced as frightening, along with the gradual disappearance of the animals Anna meets, which may worry very young viewers. The tension stays mild, with no real violence, no visible injuries, and no adult content, and the unsettling moments are brief before the story returns to a gentle emotional tone. For most children, this makes it suitable from about age 4, especially if they already handle large intimidating characters and slightly mysterious settings well. Parents can help by explaining beforehand that the story uses a temporary scare and that a scary appearance does not always mean real danger.

Synopsis

Anna wants to share her chocolate cake with her friend and ends up living an adventure through the forest, where the terrible bearded giant is the new inhabitant. In fact, all the animals that she meets are disappearing. Does the giant need company?

Difficult scenes

At the start of Anna's journey through the icy forest, the story emphasizes the presence of a bearded giant who is described as frightening. For a young child, that idea alone may create some anxiety, especially in a cold and isolated setting that heightens the sense of mystery. The film suggests that the animals Anna encounters disappear one after another. Even though this is not presented as explicit violence, that repeated vanishing may unsettle a sensitive child who could worry that something bad has happened to them.
