💬 Our analysis

This Studio Ghibli film offers a gentle and poetic adventure suitable for children aged 6+. Potentially startling scenes (cat attack, father's injury, capture) remain brief and non-graphic. The contemplative tone and deeper themes (friendship, acceptance) suit children capable of understanding nuanced emotions.
